Some advanced students practice for international tests by helping with listening for those types of questions, and formal writing. These students are exceptionally challenging, as they ask the most complex questions, and there is very little that they do not already know. In another way, these students can also be the most fun, as it is possible for advanced students to communicate as these students can communicate extremely well and carry a conversation. There are generally a few areas to cover, especially in the realm of phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions, which are not something that can be learned any why but by memorizing.
