First things first, the only way to learn to speak a language, is by actually speaking. During your class if you have a question ask in Spanish, when you don´t know how to pronounce a word ask in Spanish, always use the small amount of Spanish you have to engage in speaking. You can study for years, and master all of the grammar rules, but unless you actually practice speaking, you will never speak well. When you are practicing speaking, remember to do it out loud, at normal conversational volume. Make sure you’re comfortable with the fundamentals of the language before tackling the more advanced stuff. It will take you a while to get used to the pronunciation and spelling of a new language, but without a solid understanding of these, you’ll find it very difficult to learn more. Go over each lesson several times, perhaps once in the morning, once in the evening and once several days later. Give your brain time to digest the material, but make sure the gaps between periods of study are not too long, i.e. more than a few weeks, or you’ll forget most of what you’re trying to learn. Make sure you have got to grips with the contents of one lesson before moving on to the next.

I knew of Íbero Spanish and TEFL School through former students. I was browsing for Spanish classes in Buenos Aires and found what the TEFL course offered. The building was nice and well equipped. The staff was very helpful, attentive and always willing to help me out. I think that I am now more prepared than the majority of other English Teachers in the city. The book was helpful. With time, I came much more confident in my abilities. I have been hired and feel very positive about working for this company. Out of all, the companies I was in contact with I found to be the best. I would recommend the Íbero TEFL course to others without a doubt.  Cherisse Gray, USA

I couldn’t have wished for a better experience at Íbero. It was exactly what I wanted from a Spanish language school. I lived in BA for 3 weeks. In that time, I met great people, both fellow students and the teachers and staff. I have gone from speaking absolutely no Spanish to being able to hold basic conversations, talk to locals and talk about my daily routine. My listening and understanding is much better too, as are my reading, writing and technical understanding of the language. Íbero Spanish also organized a wonderful home stay for myself and my girlfriend with a woman from BA, which has been fantastic. Buenos Aires is a great city and I am sad to leave. If you want to live and learn in a great place, just can’t recommend the city and the school highly enough. Stuart Duggan, UK

I have and will recommend Íbero to all my friends back home in Canada. I have completed a 7 week combined Spanish and TEFL program, 4 weeks of in-house TEFL class and 3 weeks of Spanish immersion courses. It has been very intense but went by very fast. My teachers were very knowledgeable in English and Spanish and explained things very well. I was very happy with both courses and with the school; it was well organized and run, thank you for a great experience. Jenny Richardson, Canada
