Our Staff

We care passionately about our students and their academic progress. Our curriculum encourages students to improve their skills using a task-based method. We have well-trained native instructors with bachelor’s and/or master’s degrees.
Armed with extensive teaching experience , they know how to teach the specific methodology to trainees from all cultural backgrounds and countries. They have the knowledge and resources to both challenge learners and work patiently with them.
A full-time office staff ensures each student gets personalized attention and has fun while studying at Íbero.
The staff is always happy to help with classes, tourist information or any other matters.

Our staff knows that education should be fun as well as enriching; we offer many social programs, outings, free tourist information, local advice and a chance to meet new people.

Our students come from all over the world to enjoy the thriving Buenos Aires attractions, become TEFL certified, learn Spanish and enjoy themselves. Íbero helps make those goals a reality

How do we select our instructors?

Our teaching staff is selected based on their level of education, experience and attitude. We carefully select TEFL tutors who are outgoing, hardworking, and detail oriented.
Tutors work hard to address every type of learners needs and to support both visual and auditory learning styles. A full-time office staff ensures each student gets personalized attention and has fun while studying at Íbero. Our TEFL tutors are extroverts by nature and students can expect that each of their classes will be a good mix of study and fun.

For our TEFL program we expect our teachers:

  • To be a native English speaker or have satisfactorily passed the TOEFL or First Certificate (Grade A) or IELTS (level 6.5).
  • To hold an English Teacher Bachelor’s degree.
  • To have at least two years’ experience teaching English and at least 2 years tutoring TEFL trainees.

Our methodology

We believe in the constructivist theory of teaching which states that students learn best when they are dynamically involved in the learning process and therefore are better able to relate and reflect on their class experiences at a later time.

In order to achieve a constructivist classroom, our students are actively encouraged to participate and become involved in each topic; to ask questions and express any thoughts and feelings they may have; to involve themselves in class discussions and to gain responsibility when working independently and within groups.

We put great emphasis on communication in the classroom and encourage the exchange of ideas between students and teachers.

Íbero TEFL coordinators

Íbero TEFL stands out from its competition for its innovation in educational materials and for having a wide range of specialized programs, experienced teachers who are fully capable in the areas of instructions and learning and are directly supervised by our academic coordinator. We have professional staff coordinators in each area.

Student programs have their own area of coordination and general supervision and activities and tourist information is also supervised by professional individuals.

Each Íbero TEFL employee works toward the goal of improving the existing student services, and for the needs of agencies and universities from all over the world.
